Production Planning Automation

The plan keeps changing.
If the data doesn't fit, the agent stops.

How production planning works

  1. 1

    Planning

Demand is compared with capacity and materials; the draft plan is checked for material availability

    Output
→ Approved production plan, material replenishment request
  2. 2

    Work order

The approved plan becomes work orders, materials are reserved and documents go out to the line

    Output
    → Open work orders
  3. 3

    Shop floor

Output and consumption are recorded; the plan is revised for rush orders, breakdowns or late materials

    Output
→ Production confirmation and consumption entry, plan revision
  4. 4

    Reporting

Downtime, efficiency and scrap are tracked; periodic maintenance is followed up

    Output
→ Shift and efficiency report, downtime and scrap analysis

Where it goes wrong today: Material availability lives in Excel and plan changes travel by phone and email. It becomes unclear who is working from which version of the plan. Shift data reaches the system late from paper; consumption differences and repeated downtime only show at month end.

Material requirements check

What it does

  1. RobotExplodes the period's work order needs into materials through the bill of materials

  2. RobotCompares them with stock, reserved quantities and open purchase orders

  3. RobotLists shortages with their need dates and opens a purchase request for approved shortages

What it protects you from

Material shortages noticed after the plan is made

The brake: where people decide

Material requirements check

A critical material shortage

The planner assesses the shortage and alternative materials; the robot opens requests only for approved shortages

Work order creation and distribution

Work orders are ready to go out

The production owner approves the line and shift assignment

Production confirmation and consumption

Scrap or a consumption difference is outside tolerance

The shift supervisor explains the difference; the robot records the entry with the explanation

Plan revision and notification

The impact summary is ready

The planner approves the revision and decides priorities

Downtime and efficiency monitoring

The daily summary and review suggestions are ready

The production manager reviews the summary and starts the action

Maintenance planning and tracking

A maintenance work order is scheduled

The maintenance owner aligns the plan with the production schedule and approves it

What you gain

  • Material shortages are visible before the plan is made.
  • Everyone works from the same version of the plan.
  • Output and consumption records close within the shift.
  • Repeated downtime causes are tackled without waiting for period end.
  • Periodic maintenance is scheduled without stopping production.
  • The team spends its time on the plan itself and on exceptions instead of screen work.

We work out the gain at your volume together in the process review.

Frequently asked questions

Does the agent change the production plan itself?

No. The agent works out which orders and dates a change affects and prepares a draft revision. The planner approves the revision and priorities; the robot publishes the new version only after approval.

Our shop floor data is spread across terminals, SCADA and shift forms. Can it be brought together?

Yes. The robot collects data from all three sources and compares it with the bill of materials. Entries outside tolerance, or that cannot be read, go to the shift supervisor; the robot never fills them with a guess.

Do you need to change our ERP or SCADA system?

Robots work through your existing screens and systems; your ERP does not need to change. Connections are set up through Central Agent.

Where do purchasing and maintenance fit in this flow?

Their way of working stays the same. The robot opens requests for approved material shortages and missing spare parts and notifies the team concerned; the teams work from complete, timely requests.
